Douglas County

COVID-19 Resources

Message from Wayne Patterson, Executive Director

Umpqua Economic Development Partnership receives information from all government channels daily – sometimes hourly. As the lead economic development organization for Douglas County, we feel it’s important to make all of this information available to our community and our businesses. The information being released is changing rapidly and will continue to be fast-paced. We’re looking to build our communication pipeline as we prepare for much more to come.

On Monday, March 16 our staff began teleworking and we continue to work remotely. The best way to reach us at this time is by email. On March 25, we created our COVID-19 Resource page which includes weekly emails to our subscriber list. If you are not receiving the updates, you can subscribe below. All resource emails we’ve sent are included on this page.

The results are in from the 2020 Douglas County COVID-19 Business Impact Survey. The survey ran from Tuesday, May 12 to Tuesday, May 26. You can find the summary report provided in the link below.

In order to address child care needs in Douglas County, a community coalition has been created. We need to hear from parents/families on what their child care needs are. Please take and/or share this short survey gauging the current child care needs of our county. We need to distribute this survey as far and wide as possible. The survey will close on September 3.
